One of the main reasons I chose Imagination is my fascination for graphics! I had been waiting for an opportunity to work on something within graphics and doing verification within a team at Imagination, I couldn’t have asked for more! I’m absolutely delighted to be working in the area that I had been looking forward to getting into right after graduating from university!
The keys to success are being passionate about your interests and pursuing them! Start with small and simple interests so that the tasks seem more fun! Design and Verification is great work to do if you are looking for a chance to get creative, have some food for thought, develop new strategies and to have fun exploring.
I chose Imagination after researching the company on their website. I wanted to see the work that they are doing first hand and gain experience within an exciting area. Imagination's location was also very beneficial, as it has very good transport links.
My time at Imagination is enjoyable, especially due to the people in my office (who are all really helpful and friendly). I’m gaining valuable experience and have a chance to apply what I had learnt through my studies to the tasks and projects.
I chose Imagination as I have a strong interest in low-level programming on embedded systems, coupled with the fantastic, relaxed but hard working ethos and a complement of excellent perks.
My time so far has been truly excellent. I have worked on several interesting and varied projects since starting less than a year ago. The thing I particularly enjoy about the company is the active encouragement to learn and develop as part of the job, sometimes out of necessity and sometimes out of pure curiosity. The breadth of experience one can get at Imagination makes it an ideal place to learn as we work on so many different technologies.
What originally drew me to Imagination was their achievement in graphics, video and communications and the growth the company had seen. My keen interests in these fields made this place the perfect choice for me. This became more certain after meeting the enthusiastic engineers from Imagination at the campus fair at my University. They gave me a practical picture of how people work at Imagination. They spoke about the informal, dedicated and passionate work culture. They also gave few examples of cutting edge designs and products they were working on. These key points were more than enough for me to make my decision.
The learning never ends here. I still read and make notes like I used to back in the University. This helps me get a better clarity of the design or the problem I am working on. My advice would be to never stop learning and do what you are passionate about. Design your own future.
